PGPD to Canvass Chillum Neighborhood in Murder Investigation


Prince George’s County Police detectives will canvass a Chillum community this evening to pass out Crime Solvers flyers in connection with a murder that occurred last night. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in this case.

The victim is identified as 39-year-old Hollis Bradford Johnson of Chillum Road in Chillum.

On October 27, 2014, at about 11:20 pm, patrol officers were called to the 1000 block of Chillum Road for a shooting. When they arrived, they found Johnson just outside his apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.

The canvass will begin this evening at 6:30 pm. Detectives will begin in the 1000 block of Chillum Road.
